As a professional photographer, I strive to combine the artistry of the photographer who worked 30 years ago as I did in the studio, realizing that mistakes were not an option, along with the photographer of today, who utilizes available technology to enhance his creativity.
Now I work in a comfortable studio that I built five years ago near my home.
The studio houses all the equipment needed to produce high quality work. I use different cameras and other equipment for specific photography projects. These vary from a small camera to a large optical bench. The majority of my work is done with a small, accurate and precise optical bench by the Italian company Silvestri, and with it I often use a fabulous new 120mm aspheric lens from the German company Schneider.
The heart of my system is the Phase One digital back that I mount on various cameras. I use continuous tungsten lighting from the Lowell company to create the appropriate ambiance. The final phase of the photography production process is completed with maximum control of color and other aspects of the images through Photoshop on Apple computers with Eizo monitors. I have developed a lightweight and easily transportable photographic set that I travel with to provide the same quality environment as in my studio for photo sessions in the homes of collectors around the world.
